Membership

The Idaho Professional Archaeological Council offers three categories of membership: professional, associate, and fellows.

Professional Members are professional archaeologists who are or have been engaged in preserving, recovering, or interpreting archaeological resources in Idaho.  Professional members must hold a BA or BS degree in anthropology, history, or a related discipline, and have twelve months professional archaeological experience.

The Associate Member category consists of archaeological technicians, students, and avocational archaeologists with an interest in preserving, recovering, or interpreting archaeological resources in Idaho, and who have an interest in Idaho archaeology.

IPAC Fellows are individuals who meet the qualifications for either Professional or Associate membership and who are acknowledged by IPAC members as deserving special recognition for their contributions as an influential scholar or manager in Idaho in archaeology or a related discipline, and who have made a substantial contribution to Idaho archaeology through research, service, or both.

To apply for professional membership, please submit a current curriculum vitae and annual dues to the IPAC Vice President.  To apply for Associate membership, please submit a resume, a letter of interest or other appropriate documentation and annual dues to the Vice President.  Alternate to a vitae, and to assist applicants’ inclusion of relevant information, an optional application is available in acrobat format at the following link:  http://www.idarchaeology.com/IPACmembershipapplicationform.pdf.

Membership dues are $30 per year and checks should be made payable to Idaho Professional Archaeological Council.
