Dear Members and Interested Individuals,
WELCOME to the official IPAC website! Our primary goal is to provide support to the Idaho professional archaeological community in the face of 21st Century challenges. The IPAC Board strongly encourages and promotes proactive, open communication between archaeologists working in Idaho, since we all have valued experience to share. I would like to take the opportunity to urge all of you to take an active role in IPAC, IAS and other archaeological organizations within the state. Together, we can make great things happen.
IPAC was formed in 2004 to represent the interests of professional archaeologists in our state. The organization consists of state, federal, and tribal archaeologists, as well as professors, consultants, and other private sector archaeologists.
Membership in the organization is open to professionals, students, and interested avocational archaeologists who share an interest in Idaho archaeology. IPAC offers three levels of membership to its constituents.
Have a question, concern, or want to make a suggestion for a web update? IPAC always welcomes interaction and feedback from its members. Please feel free to reach out to us through our contact form or directly communicate with IPAC officers.
Stay Updated with the Latest IPAC News
Provided to the IPAC membership semi-annually, this newsletter's goal is to provide you with more news and less academic work, saving the latter for the journal published by the Idaho Archaeological Society and IPAC. In this format, we hope to provide members with information and updates from the univiersities, consulting frims, government agencies, tribes, and the State Historic Preservation Office.
What Happened to 2017
IPAC’s leadership wants to thank everyone for their patience in 2017! Currently, we are in the process of evaluating how our organization can best meet our stated purpose going forward. As part of this, we are updating portions of our website and current members can expect to receive a detailed email from IPAC in the near future.
